The challenge: no online presence, no lead system
When the owner of iNeedCarpet approached us, the situation was straightforward but urgent. They were a carpet installation business serving the Greater Toronto Area with zero online presence. No website. No way to capture leads outside business hours. No system to qualify inquiries before picking up the phone.
For a local home service business in 2026, that’s leaving money on the table every single day.
The brief was clear:
- Build a professional website that positions them as GTA’s go-to carpet experts
- Create a lead capture system that works 24/7
- Qualify leads upfront so they’re not wasting time on tire-kickers
- Make it mobile-friendly โ most homeowners search on their phones
- Get it done in 30 days
The solution: a homepage that doubles as a lead funnel
Instead of building a traditional “About โ Services โ Contact” website, we took a different approach. We turned the homepage itself into an interactive lead intake form โ a 4-stage qualification funnel that captures and segments leads before the client ever picks up the phone.
Key insight: Traditional contractor websites bury the contact form three clicks deep. By the time a homeowner finds it, they’ve already bounced to a competitor. The iNeedCarpet homepage does the opposite โ visitors start interacting within 3 seconds of landing.
Stage 1 โ Who I Am
Visitors select their role: Homeowner, Landlord, Property Manager, or Contractor. This immediately segments the lead and helps iNeedCarpet tailor their follow-up conversation.

Stage 2 โ What I Need
Users choose their project type: Stairs, Halls & corridors, Repair and restretching, Whole home installation, or Basement. Each selection narrows the scope of the inquiry before any human contact is needed.

Stage 3 โ How I Need It
Customers indicate their specific installation requirements and urgency. By this point, the lead has self-qualified through three filters โ before a single word has been exchanged.

Stage 4 โ Summary & Submission
All selections are displayed in a clean summary view alongside fields for name, email, phone, and a custom message. When they hit “Talk to a Live Expert”, the client receives a notification with every selection the customer made, full contact details, and project specifics โ all in one email.

Technical execution
WordPress + Elementor Pro
30 days โ kickoff to launch
Browser-based state storage โ selections persist across stages
Direct email with full project details on every submission
We also implemented an SEO foundation from day one: meta titles optimised for local search, meta descriptions targeting GTA homeowners, image alt text, clean URL structure, and mobile-first indexing compliance.
Why this approach works for contractors
Visitors start interacting within 3 seconds โ no hunting for a contact form.
No more generic “how much for carpet?” inquiries โ every lead arrives pre-qualified.
Works while the client is on job sites โ leads come in around the clock.
Easy to add blog content, service pages, or Google Ads landing pages later.
