Rolling Food is a food truck catering service operating across Switzerland — corporate events, weddings, birthdays, Christmas parties. When they came to us in August 2019, they had a basic website that wasn’t ranking, Google Ads that weren’t converting, and no clear digital strategy. Here’s how we fixed all three.

The problems we inherited
The client initially came to us for a website redesign. After reviewing the full picture, it was clear the problems were interconnected — a bad website was feeding bad SEO which was compounding the bad PPC performance.
Step 1: Website redesign
We rebuilt the website on WordPress from the ground up, keeping the existing logo and colour theme but completely overhauling the structure, speed, and user experience. The new site was built for two languages — Dutch and English — and included:
- Multi-step contact form to qualify and capture enquiries
- Direct WhatsApp messaging integration
- Elaborated menu sections with high-quality food photography
- Mobile-first design and fast loading times
Total redesign and development time: 60 working days.
On food photography: For catering businesses, the menu section is the single most important conversion element. If the food doesn’t look appetising, visitors won’t enquire. We treated the menu as a visual sales page, not a text list.
Step 2: SEO for Switzerland
With the new website live, we enrolled Rolling Food in our SEO360 package covering both the website’s organic rankings and the Google Business Profile Map Pack rankings — in both Dutch and English.
We started with a full 30-point technical SEO audit to fix any underlying issues before building rankings on top. Once the technical foundation was solid, we moved to on-page and off-page optimisation with Zurich as the primary target city and Switzerland-wide coverage as the broader goal.
We tracked Map Pack rankings across Switzerland using Local Vikings geo grids with 25km spacing between each grid point — wide enough to cover the full country across the tracking period.

Comparing May–August vs September–December, new users increased by approximately 70% — and the results continued compounding month over month as the campaign matured.

Step 3: Fixing Google Ads
The core problem with the existing campaigns was no conversion tracking — there was no way to tell which ads were generating actual catering enquiries vs. low-quality clicks. We set up proper conversion tracking, rebuilt the campaigns with tighter targeting, and launched new ad groups focused on the highest-value catering categories.
The result was high-quality leads at the lowest possible cost-per-acquisition — exactly what a service business with a limited ad budget needs.
